Updating a Mid-Century Modern Magazine Rack

This post contains affiliate links, which means I receive a small financial compensation if you make a purchase using this link

Our house is a 1960's rancher, so we have designed our front living area in the Mid-Century Modern style to pay homage to the home's original era. My husband loves searching on ebay and craigslist for funky MCM finds to add to the living room decor.

Give a Mid-Century Modern magazine rack new life with a coat of metallic spray paint!

Pampering Your Face With Masks From Imperial Glamour

Our face is the first thing anyone sees, so we want to keep it looking youthful and glowing. It takes a lot of work to achieve this and one of the ways to pamper your face is with masks. I am a low maintenance kind of girl, so I have only recently starting using face masks and special treatments, mostly to try to combat signs of aging.

Our face is the first thing anyone sees, and we want to keep it looking youthful and glowing. One way to pamper your face is with masks.

Recently I introduced you to a beauty box that focuses on natural products, called Imperial Glamour. The box for March was called "Mask Madness" and contained masks and scrubs. The total value of this box is $48 and it contains three deluxe sized samples!

Doodling Sermon Notes in a Travelers Notebook

I am partnering with DaySpring to share a look at the new Illustrated Faith Doodles to Live By kit. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links, which means I receive a small financial compensation if you make a purchase using this link

Do you have trouble keeping your mind focused on the pastor's message? I confess, this is something I struggle with every Sunday morning. I am guilty of allowing my mind to wander to mundane things, like what I am fixing for lunch, ideas for my next blog post, and even what I am going to wear tomorrow. I am embarrassed to share this with you, but I know I can't be the only one. We are busy people and it is hard to get our mind to slow down when it's used to multitasking all the time.

Keep your mind from wandering by Doodling Sermon Notes in a Travelers Notebook

That is where taking sermon notes comes in! I have only been doing this for the last few weeks, but it has helped me focus on the message and give me something to refer back to later.

Summer is right around the corner, so now is the perfect time to spruce up your outdoor spaces! My favorite way to update a tired piece of furniture is by using spray paint. If you have been following me for a while, you will know I have been wanting to update my faded green bistro set that sits on my porch. The weather finally cooperated with my schedule so I was able to get my paint on!

I am jumping on the succulent train, y'all...thanks to my friend Erin at Faith Food Family Fun! I have been seeing them everywhere and they are so cute, plus they are pretty easy to care for. I picked up a few mini succulents on my last Home Depot visit and found some mini terra cotta pots at the Dollar Tree, so a project was born! It is the perfect DIY gift for Mother's Day!

What I am Wearing - Mixed Pattern Baseball Tee

Spring is finally here and I am shedding some of my layers. The baseball tee style is a must have this season, so I picked up a polka dot and floral one from ADORNIt recently and am showing how I style it today.

Show off your sporty side with a mixed pattern baseball tee!

I was excited to be chosen as an "It Girl" for ADORNIt Shoppe for the next three months. Their clothing is affordable and is cut to fit real women, which I appreciate. They also sell bible journaling kits and supplies through the Documented Faith line.

Bible Journaling - Organizing Your Supplies

This post contains affiliate links for your convenience

I have been Bible Journaling for about two years now and have collected an assortment of supplies. I use everything from colored pencils, paints, gelatos, and stamps to stickers and other ephemera. Up until recently, I had everything thrown in a medium sized basket and it was kind of a mess. When I saw the Everything Beautiful Bible Journaling Bag from DaySpring I knew I HAD to have it!

DIY Pom Pom Tree Branch Decor

Pom poms are popping up in crafts everywhere and after picking up a couple of packs for .50 a piece at Goodwill, I had to put them to use in a Spring DIY project. This project took about 10 minutes and was practically free, but the result is a cute pom pom tree branch decor!

What I am Wearing - How to Style Camo

Camo print is not just for hunters anymore. It has been popping up all over in pants, scarves, shoes, tees, and even accessories. I am not going to lie, it has taken me a while to get on board with this trend because I grew up in the country and I still tend to think of it as hunter gear. But, seeing how cute it can be on other fashionistas has inspired me to try it!

Styling camo does not have to be intimidating if you follow a few a few guidelines

Spring Porch Decor and Painted Wooden Butterflies

Once the flowers start popping up through the earth, I am in the mood to put away all my winter decor and break out the pastels. This year, I made a new wreath for my door, a garden flag using a place mat, and gave my wooden butterflies a new life with some paint.

Add some Spring to your front porch with a few easy DIY projects!

I bought these stained wooden butterflies years ago at World Market and the sun has faded them over the last few years.
