Ellie Claire 365 Devotional Journal Review
The journals were provided to me by Ellie Claire Gifts to review, but all opinions are my own.
I have recently been given the chance to work with Ellie Claire Gifts and am glad be able to share some inspirational resources with you. A few weeks ago, I reviewed a set of Art Journals and gave away two of them to a couple of my followers on Instagram! With the new year approaching, many of us are making goals and one of mine is always to spend time daily in the Word. One thing that helps me stay on track is having a daily devotional I can easily turn to. I am excited to share with you a set of 365-day devotional journals.
All three have beautifully illustrated covers with modern artwork. They also have an elastic strap that holds the book closed and a ribbon book mark to save your page. Each daily devotional ends with a thought to meditate on as well as a lined area to record reflections and thoughts.

3 Ways to Style a Plaid Shirt Dress
It has been a while since I have shared a fashion post on here, but I am back today sharing for a special cause. I am joining some of my fellow Aventura Ambassadors to create a Dessember Team to bring awareness to modern day human trafficking and slavery by wearing a dress each day in December.
It’s a simple campaign that started out with one woman, Blythe Hill, who committed to wearing a dress for every day in December as a way to bring awareness to the problem of modern day human trafficking and slavery.

Ellie Claire Art Journal Review
The journals were provided to me by Ellie Claire Gifts to review, but all opinions are my own.
If you have been reading my blog for any length of time, you will know that one of my hobbies is Bible Journaling. It is one of the creative ways I spend time in the Word. I also like to use devotionals and journals, as well to take notes on the passages I am reading, or to use for sermon notes. That is why I was excited to be given the opportunity to review three different types of journals from Ellie Claire Gifts.
They are designed to be used all year-long and are the perfect gift for girls/women of any age! Each of these journals contain journaling lines so you can record your personal thoughts and reflections. They also offer lettering and art tutorials, as well as, coloring pages.

Tips for Getting Your Guest Bedroom Ready for Visitors
This is a sponsored post written by me in collaboration with HomeRight. All opinions are mine alone.
Our guest bedroom does not get used a lot, but since I have family that lives out of town, we tend to have some overnight guests around the holidays. Since the bedroom stays closed up most of the year, this is the perfect time to air it out and spruce it up a bit for holiday house guests.
Today, I am sharing my secret weapon for sanitizing the entire bed...pillows, comfortor, and mattress, since you cannot easily wash these things. I am also sharing a few tips on how to make your guest bedroom feel like home.

Painted Chipboard Christmas Wreath
It is time for this month's Craft and Create with Cricut Challenge, where several of my Cricut-loving blogger friends team up to bring you creative craft ideas. This month's theme is Christmas, to get you in the mood for holiday decorating.
I went back and forth over what I wanted to make. I really wanted to try my hand at using chipboard and the knife blade in my new Cricut Maker. I thought about making ornaments (which I will still do,) but settled on a layered chipboard "Joy" wreath for my door.

Dryel Saves Your Clothes from Shrinking and Fading
This is a sponsored post written by me in collaboration with Dryel. All opinions are mine alone.
My Fall/Winter wardrobe consists of chunky sweaters and dark skinny jeans. I don't have to worry about my sweaters stretching or my dark denim fading or shrinking with Dryel.
I try to get a few wears out of my sweaters and jeans before cleaning them, so I can prolong the life of the piece. Plus, there is nothing worse than tight, fresh-out-of-the-dryer jeans. I prefer mine broken in, don't you? With Dryel, you do not have to worry about this. You can freshen up your jeans and sweaters in about 15 minutes!

Scripture Study Tips with the (in)courage Devotional Bible
I am partnering with Frontgate Blogger Network to bring you the beautiful CSB (in)courage Devotional Bible. All opinions are my own.
It has been a while since I have posted about Bible Journaling, but I am back today to show you the beautiful CSB (in)courage Devotional Bible I received, that is made especially for women! The Bible highlights 50 women in the Bible and how God worked though their lives. It also includes lined journaling space for notes and personal reflection.
If you have never heard of (in)courage, it is an online community for women offering support and resources for meaningful connection. For me personally, I struggle with knowing where to start and what to study, so resources like this website are a great help for me in planning my devotional time.

Felt Flowers with the Cricut Maker and FAQ's
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.
I have only had my Cricut Maker a couple of months, but I have already put it to good use making several projects. One of the projects was making felt flowers, which I used on a Fall wreath. This was my first time using felt (can you believe it?!) and it was so easy with the Cricut Maker. I am going to share the tutorial with you and answer some frequently asked questions about the Maker.

Felt Flower Grapevine Wreath
I am back with the Craft and Create with Cricut Challenge this month and our theme is Fall. Last year I made several wreaths, but not one for Fall, so I decided to use my new Cricut Maker to make some felt flowers and succulents in Fall colors to use on a grapevine wreath.

Scrap Wood Hat Rack
My son never liked wearing baseball caps until the last year. Once he started accumulating hats and hanging them on his curtain rods, I decided I needed to make him a rack for them. Since we have a ton of scrap wood, I started racking my brain on how to use what I had on hand to make a hat rack.
After looking on Pinterest for inspiration, I ended up on this simple design using a common 1" x 8" board and square molding.

You all know that I love yoga and actually teach Body Flow, which is a yoga fusion class. When Cricut challenged their bloggers to come up with t-shirt collections, I knew I had to make a yoga themed one! I created all three of these shirts over the last few months and am excited to finally share them with you here and show you how you can make your own yoga shirt collection if you have Cricut Design Space.
All three designs can be used on t-shirts or tank tops and can be sized to fit any shirt. I think the quotes are also fun to wear, even if you don't practice yoga.

I immediately knew I wanted to try the smaller 6x7 EasyPress 2, since it is the perfect size for baby onesies.

What To Expect With the Cricut Maker
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.
I thought the Cricut Maker was mainly for people who sew (not me), but it turns out it has so many features that an avid crafter can enjoy, such as being compatible with the new Knife Blade for thicker materials up to 2.4 mm (sold separately) and being able to cut hundreds of materials, from the most delicate fabric and paper to thicker chipboard and leather. It does everything that my Cricut Explore does, plus SO...MUCH...MORE!

How to Create a Wooden Walkway in Your Yard
This is the year for outdoor projects! My husband has been wanting to tackle a few problem areas in the yard for several years now, and we are finally doing it. Our goal was to move the pool pump and sand filter away from the deck, hide it, and create a walkway from the deck to the basement entry.

Geometric Painted Cork Boards
My office at work recently got a new coat of paint, which made me want to spruce up my decor a little. I have a couple of large bulletin boards in my office, so I thought I would make them pretty with coordinating paint colors. This project is super easy, yet makes a big impact! This is the perfect back to school project, as it gives you a place to organize all the forms and school schedules. You can paint it to match your Command Center, office space, or homework area.

How To Customize a Beach Chair With Iron On
One of my favorite ways to use my Cricut is with Iron-on vinyl; you can customize just about anything! This project was totally inspired by this post from my crafty friend Pitter and Glink, though I wish I would have come up with the idea. It was perfect timing since we were getting ready to head to the beach. I grabbed my Circut, iron on vinyl, and EasyPress and got to work on my plain beach chair.

Camping Essentials for a Newbie
This is a sponsored post written by me in collaboration with HomeRight. All opinions are mine alone.
Summer means spending more time outdoors with family. Even though we spend a lot of time by the pool, we also like to get out and enjoy nature. My uncle has a campground, so we decided to take an overnight camp trip and enjoy the fresh (and cooler) mountain air! This was actually my first time camping in a tent, so I decided to come up with a list of some essentials a newbie camper needs to have.

How I Painted My Door and Stairs In One Day
It has been a couple of months since I posted a house DIY, mostly because we needed a break after finishing the basement. Our new focus is on the outside of our house. We have done several projects over the years, such as updating and staining our deck, painting the concrete around the pool, and painting the exterior siding, but there is still much we want to do. We recently added a firepit area, moved the pool pump, and are currently working on a boardwalk/walkway in the backyard. We also spent Memorial Day updating our side entrance.

Wardrobe Freedom With Dryel
This is a sponsored post written by me in collaboration with Dryel. All opinions are mine alone.
I have a confession: I hate to iron. My hubby does the ironing in the house, when it's needed. I try to stay away from clothes that wrinkle easily, but sometimes it is unavoidable. In those cases, I turn to Dryel. It allows me to wear what I want, when I want, without a trip to the dry cleaner or pulling out the iron.

Boho Painted Wooden Bead Garland With Tassels
I have a fun summer project for you today. I am part of the Rust-Oleum Creator's Studio and from time to time, they have themed challenges for bloggers. This month, the theme was to create something you would "find, buy, wear, use, or be inspired by at a summer festival."
After racking my brain, I was inspired by a recent project by my friend Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom and decided to make a colorful wooden bead garland that you could use as a necklace or home decor!

Mobile S'mores Caddy
This is a sponsored post written by me in collaboration with HomeRight. All opinions are mine alone.
It is that time of the year when we can finally enjoy the outdoors! It has warmed up and most of the pollen is gone. Now that the basement renovation is complete, we are focusing our efforts on our back yard. One of the items on our project list was adding a fire pit area, since we love to hang out by the pool and entertain friends and family throughout the summer. This gives us an additional seating area and a place to roast marshmallows for s'mores!
Speaking of s'mores, I am sharing an idea for a Mobile S'mores Caddy along with my favorite new tool from HomeRight that will get your fire going in no time!

Missing Sock DIY for Laundry Room
Raise your hand if you have a pile of socks missing a mate. Every week I have at least one sock that goes missing and I usually just throw it in the drawer and hope I find it's mate in the next wash, but sometimes it gets buried under the other socks never to be seen again! I decided to make a fun piece of chalkboard wall decor for our new laundry room, that also would hold the socks missing a mate.

How to Remodel a Basement on a Budget
This post has been a long time coming...about 2 1/2 years to be exact! This basement renovation was one of the main reasons I started this blog. I wanted to chronicle all the work we did on our basement with befores and afters, DIY tips, and lessons we learned along the way in hopes to help some other weekend warriors like us. Before I start, I have to give a shout out to my husband who worked tirelessly along my side and did not give up, even when we both wanted to. I have to say, if your marriage can survive a home remodel, it can survive about anything!

Llama Painted Canvas Wall Decor
One of my friends is pregnant with her first child and the nursery theme is llamas. If you have been on Pinterest or social media at all, you will know that the llama trend is going strong, so I jumped at the chance to make something for her! I asked her to send pics of her nursery for inspiration and once I saw the brightly colored animal prints she picked, I had to do something along those lines. I had an 8x10" canvas on hand, so I decided to get out my paint and Cricut machine and go to work!

How to Style a Jacket for Spring
It has been a couple of months since I have shared a fashion post here on the blog. It has just been so cold and yucky that I did not want to go outside without being bundled up like Randy in A Christmas Story! But, now Spring is here and I have received several new pieces from the Aventura Spring 2018 line. I even did a Live unboxing on Facebook to show you what I got and a few ways I plan to style them. I am joining some of my fellow Aventura Ambassadors to share how we style a utility jacket during this transitional season. I am styling the Tara jacket with a striped tee and olive green joggers.

Creating a Cozy Living Area in a Basement
We recently completed a major remodel in our basement, which included updating the living room area. Prior to the renovation, we spent zero time down there because it was dark, cold, and uninviting. Preparing Winter Clothes for Storage With Dryel
This is a sponsored post written by me in collaboration with Dryel. All opinions are mine alone.
Spring weather is around the corner and it is time to start thinking about putting away the heavy wool coats, sweater dresses, and sweaters. I usually try to dry clean the ones that got a lot of wear over the Winter, but that gets expensive. I have found a cheaper option that works just as well, and you can do it at home!
Let me introduce you to Dryel At-Home Dry Cleaner. For around $10, you get the Dryel fabric care bag, four cleaning clothes, Stain Pen, and Odor & Wrinkle Releaser, which will clean up to 20 items.

Transform Your Stairs Using Paint
Do you have stairs that are covered in dirty, ugly carpet? Well, we did...and as part of our basement renovation, we were going to change that! We ripped up the old, nasty carpet then painted the steps and risers. We ended up having to also use carpet tiles on them because our dog slipped when going down the stairs and got freaked out.
Surprisingly, the process of ripping up the carpet was not as hard as I thought it would be. You just need a few tools and a lot of elbow grease.

This monogrammed oven mit filled with baking utensils is the perfect gift for a bridal shower or housewarming gift!
When I do not have time to make a homemade gift, I like to add a personal touch to something store bought or assemble several items into a gift basket. I also like to give practical gifts when possible.

Creating an Organized Craft Space in a Small Area
I am partnering with Oriental Trading to bring you tips on organizing your craft supplies. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I am back with the third post in my Home Organization Series, with tips on Creating an Organized Craft Space in a Small Area. I do not have an extra room in my house to devote to crafting, so I am stealing a corner in the basement to turn into a crafting nook. Previously, I had my craft supplies in totes and would craft on the dining room table, which was not optimal.
