BirchBox Review October 2015

This is my first month of BirchBox and I decided to try it since they were offering it for $5. It is a monthly subscription that starts at $10 per month.  I was happy with the products in my box this month.

It was packaged in a cute pink swirl print box in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Although these are all sample sizes, the full size versions of these products come to about $150.

Acure Organics Cell Stimulating Face Mask:

I used this last night and it went on smoothly, though it had a strange smell. It was minty, but there was another scent that wasn't pleasant, but it was not noticeable once the mask dried. My face felt soft afterward, so I will definitely be using this again.

Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Mascara:

I have been wanting to try this for a while as I have several friends that use it and rave about it.  The brush is a nylon one that has very short bristles, which is usually something I do not like. I prefer the standard bushy brush, but the mascara sent on nicely and did plump my lashes, making them look longer and fuller.

EXO Supply Co PureRemover Wipes:

When I opened the little packet, I thought the wipe was dried out, because it was not wet like other wipes I have used. It was more of an oil, and smelled quite nice. I was also pleasantly surprised that one little wipe removed the nail polish on both of my hands, and did not dry out my cuticles and nails.

dr. brandt microdermabrasion skin exfoliant:

This exfoliant worked great on my sensitive skin; it was not too abrasive and left my skin feeling soft. It also had a pleasant lemon smell.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray:

I love dry shampoo so I was excited to try this brand. I used this on 2-day old hair and it gave it a little bit of volume and took the greasiness away. It also had a nice fragrance that left my hair smelling fresh.

I have heard mixed reviews about this subscription box from friends, so I will give it a couple of months to see how I like the products, before deciding to continue.  If you want to give it a try, use my link to sign up https://www.birchbox.com/invite/562xv
