Do you have guests coming for the holidays or is your builder grade bathroom in need of an update? My bathroom was not horrible, but it needed a refresh. Since my son (who mainly used this bathroom) was away at college, I had some time to tear it apart for a few days. See how I updated our guest bathroom over a couple of weekends with some paint and new accessories...for less than $200!
I painted the vanity shortly after we moved in with a chocolate brown paint and it just made the bathroom feel a little dark. After I painted my kitchen cabinets with Rust-Oleum's Cabinet Transformation kit and had some left over, I decided to use it to update the vanity and medicine cabinet. Here is what the bathroom looked like when I started.

DIY Wooden Arrow Wall Hooks
We finally finished building the bathroom in our basement and I recently shared the reveal with you. In that post, I shared that I still had a few more small projects to do in the bathroom and having a place to hang swimsuits and clothing was one of them.
I decided to DIY my own and created this Wooden Arrow Wall Hooks project out of scrap wood, hardware from the salvage store and wooden arrows from Oriental Trading.

Basement Guest Bathroom Reveal and Budget Friendly Decor
I am partnering with Oriental Trading to show you some budget friendly ways to decorate your bathroom.
I honestly was beginning to think this day would never come! It was a little over 2 years ago when we marked out our bathroom layout with painter's tape and broke ground for the underground plumbing. Now, we have a gorgeous full bath and changing area for us and our guests that come to enjoy our pool!

DIY Rolling Storage Using Wooden Crates
Thanks to Rust-Oleum for providing the paint as part of the Creator's Studio Blogger Challenge! This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.
I have had two wooden crates c/o Crates and Palllet sitting around for months, while I was trying to decide how to use them. I have been pinning a ton of storage ideas for inspiration, but could not settle on one idea. When I was selected by Rust-Oleum to participate in their Creator's Studio Blogger Challenge, I decided I was going to finally make a storage project using the crates.
The only requirement for the challenge is that I had to use at least one of the products in the box. The box contained several goodies: Glitter spray paint, chalboard spray paint, mirror paint, chalk gray spray paint, green spray paint, and a couple of cans of stain. I am pre-disposed to go with the spray paint, because that is truly my jam, but I decided to try the stain. Don't worry, I am sure you will see the spray paints used for future projects...I already have a couple in mind!

Medicine Cabinet Makeover
I recently gave our guest bathroom a mini makeover, but prior to this, I had made a few other updates. This bathroom was not as bad as our master bathroom since it had chrome light fixtures and cabinet hardware, but it could still use a refresh.

I do not know what it is about Spring that makes me feel the need to clean and update the house! My guest bathroom is one of the rooms that is updated often, since it is one that our guests see the most. It is easy to change up the look in the bathroom by changing out the shower curtain, towels, and wall color. You also want to make sure you keep toiletries stocked, like mini shampoos, soap, toilet paper, and cleansing cloths.

Master Bath Makeover on a Budget
When we purchased our house, the previous owner had recently done some minor "updates" before putting the house on the market. One of these updates was replacing the vanity cabinets and tile in the bathrooms. Notice I have updates in quotes...because basically, she installed some of the ugliest tile (and most likely the cheapest) I have ever seen and used dirt colored grout. She also installed new builder grade vanity cabinets, which were OK, but they had not been stained or painted at all.
