Magnolia Leaf Wreath With Cricut

I am always looking for ways to upcycle things around the house. After Christmas, when it was time to take down my Christmas cards, I put them to the side to use for a project. I decided to use them in place of card stock in a Magnolia Leaf Wreath made using my Cricut Maker. I got a chance to use several of the tools available for the Maker in this project.

MCM Felt Christmas Decor with Cricut

I have been feeling the Mid Century Modern vibe the last couple of years and want to bring more of that into my Christmas decor. This year, I got to work and used my Cricut and transformed a plain tree skirt, that I already had on hand, with felt (inspired by this post from Krys at Melo-Drama.) I also made some colorful felt house ornaments.

How to Use the Cricut Maker’s QuickSwap Toolset

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.

Just when you thought the Cricut Maker could not get even more awesome, Cricut releases four new tips! When Cricut launched Maker 2 years ago, it made a promise to come out with more tools and materials, so that Maker could grow with creators as they master new crafts.  These tools can be used only with the Maker, because it was specially designed with an Adaptive Tool System. This system brings together three major technologies that give Maker professional class cutting versatility and performance.

How to Use the Cricut Maker’s QuickSwap Toolset to make engraved leather earrings and debossed leather bracelet.

Cricut recently introduced more tools as part of the Adaptive Toolset and they are part of the QuickSwap line, which allows makers to quickly change out the tools during a project. These new tools allow creators to utilize even more techniques, such as engraving and debossing, and materials such as metal, with Maker, further expanding Maker’s capabilities.

Painted Chipboard Christmas Wreath

It is time for this month's Craft and Create with Cricut Challenge, where several of my Cricut-loving blogger friends team up to bring you creative craft ideas. This month's theme is Christmas, to get you in the mood for holiday decorating.

Use the Cricut Maker to make a Christmas wreath from Chipboard and 9 other crafts.

I went back and forth over what I wanted to make. I really wanted to try my hand at using chipboard and the knife blade in my new Cricut Maker. I thought about making ornaments (which I will still do,) but settled on a layered chipboard "Joy" wreath for my door.
