Styling a Buffet for Christmas + Pumpkin Pie Dessert Coffee

I am partnering with Oriental Trading to bring you some affordable ways to style your buffet for Christmas. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I am in Christmas mode and am excited to show you some affordable ways to decorate a buffet for Christmas. I went with a bright color scheme, using reds, greens, and teals.

Incorporating Pops of Color Into your Decor

While standing in the check out line at the grocery store a couple of weeks ago, the cover of a magazine caught my eye and I had to pick it up! It was a shot of a bright kitchen with turquoise cabinets (SWOON!) and open shelving with colorful dishes. Obviously, the magazine went in my cart and came home with me. It inspired me to share some of the ways I incorporate color into my decor to hopefully inspire you to do the same.

Easter Decor and a Wooden Tool Box Centerpiece

When the Jonquils and Crocuses start blooming, it means it is time to put away the winter decor and break out the pastel colors, birds, and bunnies for Easter! I decided to incorporate my wooden toolbox into my decor after seeing this post on Instagram from Salvasgesista.

Use Dollar store finds and items from around the house to create a wooden toolbox centerpiece for your Easter decor.

Decorating does not have to be expensive. I am going to show you how to use Dollar Store finds and items from around the house to create a wooden toolbox centerpiece for your Easter decor.

Christmas Home Tour

Welcome to my first annual Christmas home tour! I have been decking the halls and want to share my decor with you. I hope you come in and stay a while! We do not hang outdoor lights, but we do have a Moravian star, a mini pre-lit tree, and I decorate the topiary tree by the door.

Come on in and take my Christmas home tour!

Welcome to my home!

Cranberry Thanksgiving Decor

Halloween has come and gone and I thought about skipping Thanksgiving decor and decorating my buffet for Christmas, but I was not ready to let go of Fall quite yet. Today I am sharing how I decorated my buffet to transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas by using cranberries in my decor.

I decided to get a little more decorating use out of my pumpkins and gourds that were on my front porch and create a harvest themed centerpiece.

DIY Sunflower Centerpiece for a Gourmet Soup Party

Fall is right around the corner, which means pumpkins, sweaters, and soup!  I am jump starting the season with a "Welcome to Fall" Gourmet Soup Tasting Party.  I am one of those people who does not like to eat soup during the summer; can you relate?  Since the weather is starting to cool down a little, it is the perfect time to introduce soup back into my meal planning and have an excuse to get together with my girl friends!

China Hutch Makeover

When I first moved into my first home, my parents gave me their old 70's era dining room table and china hutch set.  It was not my style, but it was free, so I made it work.  Eventually my husband and I bought a modern dining table and chairs from Pier One, and gave the old table to my sister.  I always kept the corner hutch because it was a nice piece for storage, but it always bugged me that it did not fit in with my style.  I have been wanting to paint it for a long time, but could not decide on a color and was afraid of messing it up.  After painting a few other pieces of furniture, I was ready to finally tackle this project.

Welcome Spring - Decorating with Pastels

I love when the weather starts warming up and the bulbs in my yard start to bloom.  It means that Easter and Spring is right around the corner, which calls for an update to my winter decor.  I switch out snowmen for birds and bunnies and dark colors for pastels.  Decorating for the different seasons does not have to break the bank.  Most of my decor comes from discount stores like TJ Maxx (aff link), thrift shops, or Goodwill.
