Tips on Installing Peel and Stick Glass Tile

Aspect Tile provided the back splash tile kit for this project, but all opinions are my own.

We recently updated our kitchen for the One Room Challenge. One of the things we did was replace the outdated tile back splash with Aspect Peel & Stick glass tiles. These tiles are available in metal, stone, glass, and wood and will fit in with any style of room.

Tips on Installing Aspect Peel and Stick Glass Tile in a MCM Kitchen

This was my first experience with tiling, so I did not want to deal with grout. This product was easy to install; I did it in a few hours over a weekend.

Monogrammed Hostess Gift For the Baker

Recently I attended a bridal shower for a dear friend and put together a baking themed gift for her. I used glitter iron on and my Cricut machine to add a personal touch to an oven mit with a monogram. This monogrammed oven mit filled with baking utensils is the perfect gift for a bridal shower or housewarming gift!

When I do not have time to make a homemade gift, I like to add a personal touch to something store bought, like this glitter monogrammed oven mit using Cricut

When I do not have time to make a homemade gift, I like to add a personal touch to something store bought or assemble several items into a gift basket. I also like to give practical gifts when possible.

How to Clean a Kitchen Sink

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #ScrubWithDots #CollectiveBias

We live in a house that was built in the 60's and it has porcelain sinks and tubs. While I like the charm of the porcelain, it is a pain to keep clean because it stains and scratches easily. I do not like to use harsh chemicals for cleaning, so I found an easy way to clean my porcelain kitchen sink using baking soda and vinegar.

My husband was skeptical on how well it would clean the stains and mask the scratches, but he was pleasantly surprised at how shiny and clean it came out! The process is super easy and you probably already have the supplies on hand.

How to Clean and Organize Your Fridge

Does Springtime put you in the mood to clean everything around your house? After the cold and yuckiness of winter, the warmer temps makes me want to throw open the windows and give my house a refresh. One of the areas that always needs a little extra attention is my kitchen, specifically the refrigerator. Today, I am going to share how I cleaned and organized my fridge with the help of some dollar store finds!

Slow Cooker Recipe - Broccoli and Cheese Soup

If I can make something in the slow cooker, rather than on the stove, you bet I am going to do it. Nothing is easier than throwing some ingredients in the slow cooker, then coming back later to a ready made meal!

Make this easy broccoli and cheese soup in the crockpot!

Since cold weather is upon us, I have been craving hearty comfort foods like Broccoli and Cheese Soup.  This was the fist time I made in my slow cooker and it turned out so good!

Creating a Command Center

With school starting back this week, I am in full-on organizing mode. I am naturally an organized person, but I am always looking for ways to make my family's life easier and keep track of our schedule, bills, keys, etc. Our house was built in the 1960's and has a desk nook in the kitchen. My husband wants to get rid of it, but for the time being it does serve a purpose as a handy dumping ground for my purse, keys, mail, and houses our "junk drawer."
