Wearing Your Faith With Bible BB's

I never pass up an opportunity to share my faith or to share a faith based company. Today I am partnering with Bible BB's to share their line of adorable faith-based shirts, along with a giveaway! Bible BB's website carries children's books and apparel for the whole family!

Wearing Your Faith With Bible BB's

I received the "Coffee & Jesus" sweatshirt to review. It is made of a soft cotton/poly blend fleece in a women's cut, with a wide neck. If you do not want it to be fitted, I would size up. I am wearing an XL and it is slightly over-sized on me.

Getting Started in Bible Journaling Using a Journal

The journal was provided to me by DaySpring to review, but all opinions are my own.

There are many ways to study scripture and one of the ways I like to dive in to the Word is through journaling. It allows me to focus on the passage and be creative in the process which helps me retain what I am reading. Even if you do not have a Journaling Bible, you can still get creative while studying scripture.

Get Started in Bible Journaling with the Devotional Doodle Journal!

This Devotional Doodle Journal is the perfect place to start if you do not know where to start. It offers a short devotional with lines for journaling and a prompt page to doodle on. The one I started with (shown below) was the simple task of drawing stars.

The journals were provided to me by Ellie Claire Gifts to review, but all opinions are my own.

I have recently been given the chance to work with Ellie Claire Gifts and am glad be able to share some inspirational resources with you. A few weeks ago, I reviewed a set of Art Journals and gave away two of them to a couple of my followers on Instagram! With the new year approaching, many of us are making goals and one of mine is always to spend time daily in the Word. One thing that helps me stay on track is having a daily devotional I can easily turn to.  I am excited to share with you a set of 365-day devotional journals.

All three have beautifully illustrated covers with modern artwork. They also have an elastic strap that holds the book closed and a ribbon book mark to save your page. Each daily devotional ends with a thought to meditate on as well as a lined area to record reflections and thoughts.

Bible Journaling - Using Rubber Stamps

This post contains affiliate links, which means I receive a small financial compensation if you make a purchase using this link

I recently showed you how you can trace in your Bible if you feel like you cannot draw. Another way to decorate your Bible pages if you are not artistic is by using rubber stamps. I have come to love rubber stamps and they are so easy to use and come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and words! Here is how I used stamps to journal Psalm 23.

VBS on a Budget - Back to Basics

I have been working in VBS for over 16 years and have been the Director for at least 7 or 8 years (I lose track after a while!) and have tried about every idea out there for having a successful VBS. We have spent close to a thousand dollars on materials and decor, spent countless hours building huge set pieces, and tried all types of gimmicks to make VBS great for the kids. A few years ago, we decided to go back to the basics for VBS. Our goal was to focus on the message to the kids and spend as little as possible on decor, games, and crafts. Let me tell you, it is so much less stressful and the kids enjoy the VBS experience just as much!

Here is how we pulled off our Geared Up for God VBS with just the basics.

Bible Journaling - Tracing if You Can't Draw

I have hosted a couple of Bible journaling workshops and the first comment I usually get is: "I can't draw." I am here to tell you that you do NOT have to be an artist to be creative in your journaling. In addition to other ways I have showed you, such as doodling, stamps, stickers, and using printables; you can also trace onto your pages.

You do NOT have to be an artist to be creative in your journaling; try tracing onto your pages!

My friend Bethany at Pitter & Glink has created another wonderful devotional, along with downloadable printables, which include some black and white ones, perfect for tracing!

Bible Journaling - How to Use Water Colors

I am slowing branching out and trying new mediums in my journaling pages and this month I am sharing how I use watercolors. I have been hesitant to use water colors very much because I have been scared of using too much water and ruining the pages, but I love the way the page looks and decided to try a couple of techniques.

Bible Journaling - How to Use Water Colors

You do not have to use fancy watercolor palettes, although you can. I started out with a basic one I got at the dollar store.

How to Bible Journal Without a Journaling Bible

I am partnering with DaySpring to share a look at the new Illustrated Faith Rise Up kit. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links, which means I receive a small financial compensation if you make a purchase using this link.

I post my Bible journaling pages weekly on social media and frequently get asked what kind of Bible I have, if the pictures are already in it, and what it is all about. I have even hosted a couple of Bible Journaling workshops at my church and several of the ladies were concerned about not having a special Jounaling Bible. I am here to show you today that you can still be creative and illustrate God's Word without purchasing another Bible!

Ways to Stay In Love With Your Bible

A special thanks to DaySpring for allowing me to review this book and share my honest thoughts.  This post contains affiliate links, which means I receive a small financial compensation if you make a purchase using this link.

It is no secret that I love Bible Journaling because it helps me spend more time in the Word. If you read my recent post on Diving Deeper in Your Faith, I confess that I have times that I struggle with finding time to open my Bible. The truth is, I think we all do, which is why I was excited to receive a copy of 10 Ways to Fall in Love With Your Bible and Stay In Love by Shanna Noel. If you are not familiar with that name, Shanna is the creator of Illustrated Faith, which is an online Bible Journaling resource and community.

If you want to stop feeling guilty about not reading your Bible, then come along with me and say goodbye to all your excuses.
