I am excited to share with you some ideas for Valentine's Day gift baskets. A special thanks to Family Christian for sponsoring this post!
Valentine's Day is a holiday that people either love or hate depending on their circumstances. We usually do not make a big deal about it in our house since we make it a goal to try to show love daily to each other with words, acts of service, or little gifts. I feel like it can be a hard time of year for those who have lost their significant other, so this year, I wanted to pick a couple of senior aged people to bless. I have had a couple of specific church members on my heart lately who I know are lonely and have also been under the weather. With Valentine's Day coming up, I knew this was my opportunity to spread some love and bless two sweet friends.
Here is how I created two Valentine themed gift baskets
I headed over to my local Family Christian store with a list of ideas from their website to get me started. I was looking for inspirational mugs, candles, lotions, devotionals, and journals. My local store had such a great selection of items, it was hard for me to narrow down my choices to what would fit in the baskets. Here are a few of the great items I found!

Lotion, pen, hand soap, and mug |
These are the items I selected from Family Christian to fill the two gift baskets.
- Leather-like bookmarks embossed with scripture
- Hand soap and lotion in Cassis and Peony scent
- Journey pen
- Scripture mugs
- Home Springs candles
- Words to Warm a Mothers Heart scripture encouragement
Leather-like bookmark |
I picked up the baskets, bows, cellophane, and a few extra goodies from my local dollar store. I chose red baskets and bows in keeping with the Valentine theme. I also picked up individual packets of hot chocolate, cinnamon candies, and winter essentials (chapstick and kleenex) to add to the baskets.
I believe that it is so important for us to build each other up, as it tells us in I Thessalonians 5:11.
What have you done to encourage someone or how has someone encouraged you lately?
I love these! I would love if cupid dropped one of these off :)
ReplyDeleteYes! That would be a nice surprise!! :-)
DeleteOh my gosh this post made my heart melt <3 I agree it's important to show love in daily reminders but it's also such a brilliant opportunity to show your love to people who may be feeling lonely and I love how you've used this occasion to be so kind to people who has lost loved ones within your church <3 I think these baskets are lovely and I love all your choices to put in them , you should know you're a very kind , lovely person and I hope you get as much happiness as I know you'll be bringing to these people when you give them these baskets :)

Thank you so much for reading! I think its the little things that mean so much. I was able to deliver one of the baskets yesterday, and it brought the lady to tears. I think it is so much better to give than to receive. I wish I could do a basket for everyone!
