What I am Wearing - Striped Dress 3 Ways

Our weather was 70 degrees this past weekend, so I decided to pull out one of my favorite dresses I purchased from Old Navy last season and show how it can be transitioned into spring.   I love being able to extend the wear of summer dresses by adding jackets, cardigans, or leggings.   This dress is very comfortable as it is made of a stretchy, cotton fabric and the A-line cut is flattering on all body types.  The navy and white stripe pattern is very versatile and can be paired with a variety of colors.

For the first look, I added a denim jacket (mine is from Gap) and red heels with a cute bow detail.  I accessorized with a red bead necklace, multi-strand bracelet, and Vince Camuto bag (thrifted from Goodwill).

I love the criss-cross straps on the back of the dress, as it keeps the straps from sliding off my shoulders.  The dress also has an elastic panel to ensure a snug fit.

For the second look, I layered a 3/4 length sleeve, navy sweater over the dress and added pops of yellow with accessories and patent leather Banana Republic flats from TJ Maxx.

I added a cute Owl tassel necklace and Nine West cross-body bag with yellow accents to contrast with the white and navy.

For the third look, I paired it with a bright salmon, cargo-style jacket and cowboy boots with matching lace boot cuffs from White Plum.

I accented the look with a bright layered necklace (clearance from Kohl's)

  2. Great ideas. It's still gloves weather in the UK so we're not ready for transitioning yet.

  10. Hubba, hubba, hot tamale! Thanks for linking up with us at TBB. Love all three looks - genius to put a tee over the dress! But my fav is with the denim jacket because you can easily slip it off to share the sassy back of that dress.
