The Purex® brand provided me with a sample of Purex® plus Clorox 2®  detergent in exchange for a product review. However, all the opinions expressed here are my own.

So who loves to do laundry?  Anyone?  Unfortunately, its a chore we cannot avoid, and if you have kids or pets, you are going to have stains!  I have a teenage boy who has been messy since day one. Between sports, dirt, and food, there is always some kind of stain on his clothes.  I have used Purex for years because it gets the stains out and is a smart value.  Purex has just introduced a NEW addition to its line that contains Clorox 2 for extra stain fighting!  It is also available in two scents: Original Fresh and Sunny Linen.

Purex plus Clorox 2 is safe on colors, so you do not ruin your favorite clothes and it contains three stain fighting enzymes to remove almost any stain!  My son spilled cherry icee on his brand new shorts the week I received my sample, so I was eager to try this new formula.  I pre-treated the stains with the detergent, waited about 5 -10 minutes, then washed on cold and the stain came right out!

The following week, my son dropped chocolate ice cream on his "church pants" (I told ya he was messy!), so I had to see if Purex plus Clorox 2 could come to the rescue again.  I pre-treated, then washed them the following day, and the stain came right out!
Before and After: Chocolate Ice Cream Stain
My son plays soccer, which means dirt and grass stains on his white jersey on a weekly basis. Purex's tip for getting out grass stains is to apply a pre-treatment to the stain, rub it in and let it sit for five minutes, then wash on warm.  The fresher the stain, the easier it is to remove!  Find out how to remove other sports stains HERE.
