Summer Makeup Look

Once the weather turns warmer, I feel the need to change up my makeup routine for a lighter coverage. I am not a makeup professional, I am just a mom who wants to look halfway put together on a daily basis!

I am sharing some of my recent favorite makeup products that help me achieve a glowing, summer look.

Today I am sharing some of my recent favorite makeup products that help me achieve a glowing, summer look.

I start with a color correcting stick from Hard Candy cosmetics on my dark circles and on any blemishes. Then, I use a beauty sponge to apply a light foundation. Right now I am using Cover Girl's Tru Blend, but if you have suggestions of your favorites, leave them in the comments!

I like to use a bit of bronzer on my cheeks, nose, and forehead to give my skin a glow. My recent favorite is Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer because it is not orangey or glittery and it smells like coconut! I recently received this Revlon Insta-Blush stick to try from Crowdtap and it is the perfect amount of creaminess for my dry skin and blends easily with my fingers or a foundation brush.

On my eyes, I use a nude shade from my favorite Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette and finish it with Revlon Super Lengths mascara. If I am going out, I will line my lids with a dark brown liner. I am loving the Revlon Color Stay Dual tipped liner. It has a skinny side and a wider side.

I finish up with my favorite neutral lipstick, Marsala Blush from e.l.f. My whole makeup routine takes about 10 minutes at most, so I can be out the door on time!

I also have to make mention of my favorite brand of tools. The brushes and beauty sponges shown are from EcoTools. They are affordable, good quality, and soft! They also have some pretty designs, like the one in the pic above!

  1. I'll have to check out that bronzer! I love using a bronzer year round and if it smells like coconut, that sounds heavenly!

    1. This palette is not shiny at all which I like. The EcoTools in my favorite!

  3. I love the Butter Bronzer! It's getting humid already here and I'm on the lookout for foundations that are not as thick so this post is very timely! I also haven't tried the Hard Candy color correcting stick. What's the texture like? Is it kindof hard or easy to blend?

    1. The texture is like a soft crayon and it blends well. I sometimes use it without foundation if I am in a hurry.

    1. I really like the color correcting stick in the yellow. It covers well. This is my first UD palette, but I use it every day!

  5. I have that Revlon eyeliner :) I like it, it smears a little but that's because I've been cursed with oily lids!! WAH!

  6. It's always interesting to learn about different makeup products and routines. Neutral shadows and subtle makeup is my preference. I use Bare Minerals foundation and have for years. Every once in awhile I will try something new and always go back.

Thanks for linking up with Fabulous Friday!
