We recently finished our guest bathroom in the basement, so now I get to finally accessorize it! Since we spent our entire budget and more on the reno, I had to find budget friendly decor, which means DIY projects.
I found this plain wooden tray at Oriental Trading and thought it would be the perfect piece to pretty up for the vanity.
I used American Decor paint by Deco Art in Frosted Glass to paint the tray. I just used one coat to give it a faded look.
I decided to stay with the arrow motif on my wall art and use my Cricut to cut arrows out of holographic vinyl to put inside the tray. The great thing about this vinyl is that it is removable so if I get tired of it I can peel it off! I found this design in the Cricut Design Space by searching for Free Arrow images.
After weeding the design, I used transfer tape to apply the design to the inside of my tray. I used the scraper tool to make sure the vinyl was flat and free of bubbles. Personally, I think this holographic vinyl wants to bubble up more than regular vinyl, so you really have to press it down.
Once I was happy with the placement, I removed the transfer tape and now it is ready to use! Right now, you can get 30% off supplies at Cricut.com!

I like the color of the tray. I always like using that kind of paint. It works well.
