Have you seen Cricut's new Iron On Designs? You do not even need a Cricut machine to use these; just an iron or EasyPress! They have dozens of adorable designs perfect for baby onesies, like the narwhal/seahorse pack that I am using. They are a great DIY baby shower gift that only takes about 5 minutes to make!
Lets get started! All you need is a onesie or body suit, ready made Cricut Iron-on Designs, and an iron or EasyPress. I got a 3-pack of Gerber onesies in white from Walmart. You could use one with a color or pattern, but I chose to go with white, so the iron-on design would really stand out. I found my iron-on pack at Michaels, but you can find dozens of them them online at Cricut.com as well.
Adhering Iron-On Designs using an EasyPress
Preheat the EasyPress according to the material. The iron on package comes with a handy cheat sheet, so I set mine to 340 degrees. While it's pre-heating, cut apart the designs using scissors.
Lay the onesie on the Heat Press Mat and preheat the area of the material for about 10-15 seconds. Lay the design onto the material then heat the design for 50 seconds, applying medium pressure.
Flip the onesie over and heat the back side for 15 seconds. Let cool for 1-2 minutes before removing the liner.
If you want, you can always personalize it using iron on vinyl to add a name or quote. This was the easiest project I think I have ever done! With several of my friends having babies this year, I will be making more of these for gifts. There are so many designs to choose from and they are affordable at less than $5 a piece. Head to Cricut.com and let me know your favorites and tell me what you would use them on.
Disclosure: I am part of the Cricut Blogger Program and may receive supplies to complete my projects, but all thoughts are 100% my own. I love my Cricut and am excited to share my projects with you!
How convenient. Had no idea they had these and I am still loving your press machine!!! I need to put that on a wish list.
