In honor of back to school, I have partnered with RAGU Homestyle to share a one pot pasta dish that will save on time and clean up, while allowing you to spend more time with your family! Pasta is one of my weekly go-to dishes because it is easy to prepare and you can customize the flavors.
Since my son is heading back to school this month, we will have a new dinner routine to get into, between soccer practices and homework. I like to prepare a home cooked meal most nights of the week, so I am always on the look out for quick homestyle meals. My teen is a picky eater, (please tell me I am not the only one!) so I try to find recipes that incorporate the foods he likes to eat.
Pasta is perfect because you can add different meats and veggies to create a new dish each week. I also like to use RAGU Homestyle Pasta Sauce because it is made with a special blend of herbs for a bold flavor and is free of artificial flavors and colors. You can pair pasta dishes with a healthy salad and bread for a complete meal in less than 30 minutes!
One Pot Pasta
Ingredients:
1 box spaghetti noodles (or your choice)
3 tomatoes, diced
1 yellow pepper, diced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
Dried parsley flakes to taste
1 jar RAGU Homestyle Pasta Sauce (I used Thick and Hearty Roasted Garlic)
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or parmesan)
Once the water comes to a boil in a large pot, add the noodles and veggies.
Fun Fact: Did you know the hole in the pasta spoon is for measuring out a serving of noodles? I just recently discovered this! (***Mind blown!***)
Continue boiling for about 15 mins (or until the noodles are al dente). Drain water from pot and mix in 3/4 of the jar of sauce to cover the noodles. Garnish with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Notice how the thick sauce hugs the pasta! |
Comment below with your Ragu traditions and let me know which of the bold flavors you want to try from the RAGU Homestyle line!
Thank you to Ragu for sponsoring today’s post and inspiring me to pass on my family traditions.

DeleteI always forget to use the thing in the slotted pasta spoon.
ReplyDeleteI never even knew what it was for until recently!
DeleteThis is crazy - I had NO idea that's what the hole was for! I either make too little or too much, it never fails.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'd love to try the Thick and Hearty Four Cheese!
Me neither, and we would be eating leftover pasta for days because I would always make too much! Yum, I need to try that flavor too!
