I mentioned an opportunity for me to change careers and I could not really elaborate at the time, but after prayerful consideration, some tears, and encouragement from some of my closest friends, I made a HUGE decision. At the end of this year, I am leaving the comfortable (but unfulfilling) office job I have had for 16 years, for a much lower paying job at a non-profit organization. I am sure many of my friends secretly think I am insane, though they wish me well, but I am OK with that. This decision requires all the faith I have in my being...plus some and there are times when I cave to worry and have a moment of freak out.....like what if I can't make my house payment?! I truly believe that I am following God's calling for my life and that he will provide.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or stow away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (Matt 6:25-26)
So, I am looking forward to this opportunity to be able to use my spiritual gifts and spend more time with my family. It will also give me more time to devote to this blog, my little creative corner of the internet. Speaking of blogging, if you do not follow me on social media, then you may not be aware of another exciting opportunity I have been given. I was chosen to be a fashion contributor and guest posting over on Sweet Tea and Saving Grace blog once a month, along with a group of inspiring women.
I have followed Sweet Tea and Saving Grace for a while and have became friends with Kirsten over the last several months. I even got to meet her at Haven! She has been a huge encouragement to me on this journey, as she went through a similar situation. I am looking forward to being a part of Kirsten's massive resource for women! I hope you will at least pop over and check it out and give us a follow if you like what you see! (My first post goes live THIS THURSDAY!)

Lots of exciting changes going on in my life and I wanted to share them with you. If I can encourage one person with my story, then it was worth sharing it, even though its scary!
I love fashion and can't wait to read your post. I post about it a lot on my blog for midlife women - Mysideof50.com. There are many blessings in obedience and faith. Can't wait for your post on all the ways God provided!
