No-Sew Beauty Emergency Kit

November is here and the holiday season is officially upon us. It is a time for family gatherings, holiday parties, and other social events. Long days and late nights can take a toll on your body, so I always have a "Beauty Emergency Kit" in my purse to  combat problems like itchy eyes, a broken fingernail, runny nose, or a missing button. Who wants to miss out on a special moment because you are digging through your purse, or worse yet, running out to the store for something?

Don't leave home without your beauty emergency kit. You can even make your own...no sewing required!

I always keep a small bag (a.k.a. Beauty Emergency kit) in my purse that contains a mini sewing kit, Clear Eyes® Pure Relief™ , lipstick, compact, tissues, and a nail file.

I am going to show you how to make your own Beauty Emergency Kit (no sewing required!)

Supplies:

8" x 12" piece of any fabric
Hook and loop tape (I used the adhesive kind)
Liquid stitch
Scissors

Step 1:

Lay your fabric with the back side facing up and fold the fabric over about 1/2 an inch on the top, bottom, and sides.

Step 2:

Use the liquid stitch to secure the folded ends and the sides and place a book or heavy object over it until it dries. (about 30 mins)

Step 3:

Cut the hook and loop tape to size and secure it on both top seams to make a closure for your pouch.

Step 4:

Fill your pouch with beauty emergency essentials.

My Essentials:
  • Mini sewing kit - to fix a missing button or a torn hem
  • Nail file - for a broken nail, so you do not snag your clothes
  • Kleenex - in case your date takes you to a tear-jerker
  • Lipstick and compact - to touch up your make-up after dinner
  • Clear Eyes® Pure Relief™ eye drops - to combat itchiness or redness

Since I wear contact lenses, I always make sure I have Clear Eyes® Pure Relief™ Multi-Symptom on hand to soothe my irritated eyes. I know I can trust them because they are the #1 selling brand of eye drops. There is nothing worse than being dressed up for a party, with your makeup on point and having red eyes ruin your look!

  1. I love reading posts about kits because it always helps remind me what I'm missing. Just the other day I had an eyeball issue where I had wish I had some sort of relief. Not only was I at work, but it made me look like I was crying, lol. So awkward. Love your compact by the way :)

  8. This is a really good idea to have! I don;t dress up that much, but if I do I would like to have a little more insurance that the night will not be ruined by a small outfit emergency.
