Pamper Yourself With Imperial Glamour Beauty Box

The great thing about subscription boxes is that it allows you to try new products before you buy them. When I was approached by Imperial Glamour to try their boxes, I was happy to, in exchange for my honest thoughts. The boxes are filled with high quality, natural, organic, and vegan products made in the US or Canada. I like the fact that she supports local, small businesses that are primarily owned by women.

The thing that I like about the IG Beauty box is that each month is a different theme. January contained only hair products and February contained lip products. There are two box options: the Deluxe for $25 and the Mini for $16.

I have been using all of the products for a few weeks now and wanted to give you my thoughts. Click below to see the video unboxing of the January Hair Ya Go! box.

Hits:

The Natural Soap Shop: I enjoyed using all three items. The shampoo does not lather very much, but it left my hair squeaky clean. The China Rain scent lingers in my hair till the next wash and the conditioner makes it soft and shiny. The Sea salt spray gives my fine hair a little extra oomph and smells lovely.

The Harvey Prince Keravegan hair maque left my hair shiny and soft and has a light scent.

Misses:

The SIMKHA Beauty Products Vegan Hair Oil Growth Serum gave my hair shine but made it look a little greasy. My hair is fine and doesn't do well with most oils, so that is why it is a miss for me. If you are used to using oils, you may like it.

The LUX Natures Henna Rosemary Volumizing Shampoo Bar was just strange to me.  I prefer traditional shampoo, so that is why I gave this a thumbs down. It did smell lovely though, if you are into shampoo bars.

In February, the theme was Pucker Up Buttercup! and the heart print cosmetic bag contained several lip products.

Hits:

The Honeybee Gardens Vegan and Gluten Free Luscious Lip Gloss in Eternity is perfect to wear by itself for a natural look or over your favorite lip color, since it is clear. It does not leave a sticky feeling like some glosses do. It is already in my daily makeup stash.

The Body By the Good Stuff Organic Blood Orange Lip Scrub is amazing! I love the orange scent and the gentle exfoliation of the sugar scrub. I use it nightly to remove my lipstick and soften my lips.

The Forest Fairy Gardens Peppermint Lip Balm is a non-greasy balm that is appropriate for a man or woman since there is no color to it and it has a nice peppermint flavor. (Side note: You can never have too many lip balms!)

The Opale Essence Vegan and Organic Lipstick in Hibiscus was a surprise to me. The color in the tube was a very dark oxblood color, but when I applied it, the shade was a light reddish pink that is perfect for Spring.

The Natural Soap Shop Lip Sorbet in Strawberry was one of my favorites! It smells amazing and goes on smooth. It made my lips super soft too!

Misses:

The Twin Oaks All Natural Plumping Lip balm was a miss for me, only because I did not feel like the plumping worked. Otherwise, it was fine as a lip balm with a slight cinnamon flavor to it.

If you are into vegan and organic beauty products, this box is a great way to try different brands for $16-$25 a month. Each box contains at least one deluxe sample size and is usually worth around $35. Let me know which product you would want to try and check out  Imperial Glamour online!
