Personalized No-Sew Pet Bandana

This personalized, no-sew bandana tutorial has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #DogsLoveNutrishDISH #CollectiveBias

Our pets are part of the family and we treat them like our children. There are so many ways to pamper your pet these days with clothing, personalized food bowls, special food, and even pet spa days! Not all pets have someone who loves them as much as I love my dog, Charlie, which is where Rachael’s Rescue® comes in!

A portion of proceeds from each sale of Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® DISH is donated to The Rachael Ray Foundation, which helps animals in need through Rachael’s Rescue. Through December 2016, Rachael’s Rescue has donated more than $17.5 million dollars to pet charities and other organizations that do good for animals. The funds are used for food, medical supplies, treatments, and more for animals in need. You can help too, by purchasing Nutrish DISH for your pet and I even have a coupon, so you can save $4.00 through the end of the year!

Charlie is not too keen on wearing clothing, but I can get him to tolerate a cute bandana from time to time. I have teamed up with  Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® DISH to show you this fun tutorial for a no-sew bandana with my pup's name, so you can make your own! It's so easy and you don't even need a sewing machine!

Here's what you will need to make your own personalized no-sew bandana:

  • Piece of fabric
  • Scissors
  • Tape Measure
  • Iron on Heat Transfer Vinyl
  • Cutting Machine (I am using a Cricut Explore Air)
  • Iron

Take your piece of fabric and cut it into a triangle to fit your pup's size. Mine turned out to be 30" x 20" x 20" but you can make it any size to fit your dog.

Measure the size you want your design to be on the bandana. I measured mine to be around 7" wide and 5" tall.

Create your Iron-on design. I used my Cricut Design Space to create a design with Charlie's name and a cartoon dog. Don't forget to mirror the image, so it comes out the right way on your bandana! Once you have cut and weeded out the vinyl that is not part of your design, apply it to the bandana.

Preheat your iron according to the type of fabric you are using. Using the iron, apply pressure to the iron on material for several seconds until the design has adhered to the bandana.

Now you have added a personalized touch to your pup's bandana! This would also make a great gift for someone with a new pet!

Another way to show your pet how special they are is by feeding them food that is safely cooked with the world’s best whole ingredients, like Nutrish DISH created by Rachael Ray and inspired by recipes from her own kitchen.

I picked up Nutrish DISH in the Chicken and Brown Rice flavor at my local Lowes Foods grocery store while doing my weekly shopping. It can be found in the pet food aisle with the other dry dog food and it also comes in Beef & Brown Rice flavor.

How do you pamper your pet? What word or phrase would you put on your pet's bandanna?

  1. I recently discovered the importance of ingredients in pet food and I think it's awesome that this brand gives back and donates :) Animal charities are one thing I always donate to when I can! Charlie looks lovely with is bandana - which is awesome that it's no-sew, because I am not a sewer!!
