Brand Love - Tah Tah Makeup

I love trying new brands of makeup, and when I came across Tah Tah Makeup on Instagram, I had to check out their website!  Their makeup is manufactured in the U.S. at private label manufacturing companies. They offer products that are high quality, affordable, and 95% paraben free (excluding the eyeliners). Tah Tah has two professional makeup artists on hand that teach lessons, do makeovers, and work on productions.  The best part, is that they are based out of Charlotte, NC which is near where I live!

What I am Wearing - Grey Rockstar Skinny Jeans and Confident Twosday Linkup

I have been on the lookout for affordable grey skinny jeans all season.  I lucked out and found these Mid Rise Rockstar Skinnies at Old Navy on clearance for $11!  I had to go up a size for them to fit well on my legs, but otherwise, I love them!  I usually require Tall length (these are Regular), but they still fall at my ankle, which allows me to wear them with boots or flats.  They are a mid-rise, so they sit right below my belly button, which is how I like it.

What I am Wearing - Pinspired Outfits

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love participating in various style challenges each month. These challenges are fun because it makes me look at my clothes in a different way in order to mix and match outfits and I get inspired by other beautiful fashionistas!  A few weeks ago, one of the challenges was to recreate Pinterest looks from the following celebrities: J's Everyday Fashion, Emily Gemma, Olivia Palermo, Lauren Conrad, and Reece Witherspoon.  I initially thought it might be challenging to recreate a celebrity's look using my boring old clothes, but I got to work Pinning away!  Here is what I came up with.

Our Basement Renovation Story - Breaking Ground

I am so glad you have stuck around to see our progress on the basement renovation! If you missed the first two posts in this series, you can read them HERE and HERE.  Once we cleaned out the basement area where we were renovating and made significant progress with the demolition, it was time to mark out where the new rooms would be.  We used painters tape on the concrete floor to mark where the new walls would be built and where the fixtures would be placed, along with the openings for the doors.  We wanted to make sure we had all of our plans in order before we started building.

What I am Wearing - Valentine's Day Style

Today I am showing you a fun dress that is perfect for Valentines Day!  I picked up this Julie Brown dress at Goodwill for $7 and it still had the tags on it for $110!!!  It is not something I would normally be drawn to, but for the price, I thought I could at least try it on.  I was pleasantly surprised that the fit was perfect and the heart print is super cute!

Valentine's Gift Baskets

I am excited to share with you some ideas for Valentine's Day gift baskets.  A special thanks to Family Christian for sponsoring this post!

Valentine's Day is a holiday that people either love or hate depending on their circumstances.  We usually do not make a big deal about it in our house since we make it a goal to try to show love daily to each other with words, acts of service, or little gifts.  I feel like it can be a hard time of year for those who have lost their significant other, so this year, I wanted to pick a couple of senior aged people to bless.  I have had a couple of specific church members on my heart lately who I know are lonely and have also been under the weather.  With Valentine's Day coming up, I knew this was my opportunity to spread some love and bless two sweet friends.

Spread some love with Valentine's Gift Baskets.

Here is how I created two Valentine themed gift baskets

What I am Wearing - Burgundy Suede Tall Boots

One thing I love about fall and winter is being able to wear boots.  I love boots; they can be tall, short, leather, suede, flats, or heels.  A few years ago, I bought a pair of burgundy suede knee-high boots with a 4 inch heel from Shoedazzle.com.  I admit, these boots are not for everyday wear or for the fashion faint of heart, but they were too fabulous to pass up!  Here is how I make them wearable for everyday.
