Distressed Jeans Tutorial

Distressed jeans is one of the biggest trends in fashion right now, so how do I not own a pair of distressed jeans?  Well, I can not wear them to work, which is where I am most of the time, so I could not justify spending money on torn up jeans to wear a couple of times a month.  So, what is a girl to do?

Decorating a Front Porch for Summer

I have shared several pictures of my deck, but I do not share my front porch very often...mainly because it is small and we do not really spend any time on it.  Today, I thought I would share with you how I decorated it for Summer.

Easy Buffalo Chicken Dip

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #RaceDayRelief #CollectiveBias

There have been times we have had unexpected guests drop by or hosted an impromptu get together that was last minute. When I have little time to prepare an appetizer, I reach for my Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe. It is perfect for race day or cheering on your favorite team. It is very easy to make and I usually have all of the ingredients on hand.

Fiery Macaroni Salad + Giveaway! {CLOSED}

I love Summer because we get to spend a lot of time with friends at BBQ's.  All of these events give me a chance to try out new recipes that I find on Pinterest.  Pasta salad is one of my go-to dishes for Summer BBQ's because it does not require much prep and you can customize it with any ingredients. Since the 4th of July is coming up, I wanted to try a twist on a standard macaroni salad, giving it a kick using Mezzetta peppers ...like fireworks in your mouth!

Medicine Cabinet Makeover

I recently gave our guest bathroom a mini makeover, but prior to this, I had made a few other updates.  This bathroom was not as bad as our master bathroom since it had chrome light fixtures and cabinet hardware, but it could still use a refresh.

What I am Wearing - Styling a Denim Dress

I had been looking for a cute denim or chambray dress for a while, but could not find one in my price range or that was a good fit until I came across this one from Old Navy on the site ThredUp.  If you have not heard of this website, it is an online consignment store where you can buy and sell gently used clothing.  I purchased this dress for $10 and it looks brand new!  I love the cut of this dress, with the waistline, because it gives definition.  Shirt dress styles tend to hang on me and make me look like I have no shape. This dress can easily be styled many different ways.  Today I am showing two ways to style it with heels.

Building a Wooden Grill Tool Caddy at Home Depot Ladies Night

When my friend invited me to a ladies night Do-it-Herself workshop at Home Depot a few months ago, I immediately said "Yes!"  I was surprised I had not heard of it before, since we make a trip to Home Depot literally every week for something on our renovation list.  This month the project was a wooden tool caddy.

What I am Wearing - Styling a T-Shirt Dress

When the weather turns warm, I love to start wearing dresses.  I especially like t-shirt dresses for their comfort and versatility.  You can dress them up or down depending on the shoes and accessories you pair with it.

Memorial weekend is the official start of summer and the season of cookouts.  We love to entertain at our house, especially because we have a swimming pool.  When we entertain, I do not like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so I try to find recipes that can be made ahead of time or does not require much prep work.  Chicken kabobs is an easy main dish that you can customize with different flavors and fruits or veggies, according to your taste.
