I had to save one for myself so I could try my hand at painting my own cover. The design I picked was from a planner cover I saw on Instagram and I personalized it with one of my favorite quotes.
Put on your creative hat, grab some paint and brushes, and let's get started!
Supplies:
White Canvas Notebooks
Assorted Acrylic paints
Mini Adhesive Foam Letters
Paintbrushes
Paper plate
Cup of water (to wash the brushes)
Using a pencil, I lightly sketched my pattern on the cover. You can also just freehand your design if you choose.
Squirt a a dollop of each color in a paper plate and start painting. I had a pack of watercolor brushes so I used a new brush for each color.
I then used the adhesive foam letters to spell "Be Brave" in the middle of the page.
Let dry for about 30 mins and your beautiful, painted journal is ready to be used!
This project would also be perfect for a Girl's Craft Night! What would you paint on your cover?
Disclaimer: Oriental Trading sent me products for review but, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
What an adorable journal! I love the use of the lettered tiles too, it's so unique! If I were to make this, I honestly don't know what I would paint. (Me and paintbrushes aren't too friendly with each other - unless it's a wall or furniture) LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you! You could totally do this! It is easy!
DeleteI would probably washi tape mine! :) Maybe paint it and put the transparent patterned washi tape on it.
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds neat too! There are so many possibilities!
