How to Contour Images with Cricut

Have you ever found an image that you liked in Cricut Design Space, but you wanted to change it slightly? It is possible to change most images using the Contour feature. I took two images and modified them to create a new image, using Ungroup and Contour.

One of my favorite things to do with my Cricut is to make personalized gifts. My friend was having a Taco-themed baby shower, so I wanted to make a baby gift to go along with the theme.

I searched "Taco" under Images in Cricut Design Space and found the image "Taco 'bout cute," but only wanted to use the "Taco" part.

I clicked on the image and selected the UnGroup function to separate the pieces, then I deleted the "'bout" and  "cute" text boxes. I also searched Images for "mommy" and found an image that said "mommy's little monster."

This image did not allow me to use the UnGroup feature, so I used Contour instead. Click on the image, select Contour, then you click the areas that you want to delete. I clicked on each letter in "monster," then I closed the pop up box to see I was left with "mommy's little."

I moved the words around to read "mommy's little taco," selected both images and Grouped them together to make one new image.

Then, I was able to cut the image like I normally would and iron it onto the bib for a custom baby gift!
