If you have not heard of this challenge, it is a twice a year blogger event hosted by Linda at Calling It Home that consists of a 6-week challenge where 20 featured designers and hundreds of design bloggers get to showcase a room makeover that they’ve completed in just 6 weeks. A few of my fave blogger buddies are participating as a Featured Designer this round, so make sure you follow along!
This round I am updating my craft space, which is not that old, but I am outgrowing it. I am going to utilize a little more of the basement area to give me more functional space to work. Each Wednesday, you can follow along with 20 featured designers as they complete a room transformation. On Thursdays, there over 200 participants that link up with their own makeovers. Make sure you check them out, so you can be inspired by all the dramatic transformations.
My Craft Corner "Before"
It is actually not too bad and beats my dining room table, where I was crafting before. I created this little corner when we renovated our basement a couple of years ago, but I am finding it cramped as a work space. My Cricut machine and laptop, along with the Cricut Easy Press takes up most of the room on the desk, which leave me little space for actual crafting. I usually end up moving my project to the floor or air hockey table. My goal is to get rid of the air hockey table, which does not get used anymore and replace it with a craft table where I can spread out and work.
My big project will be the floor. I painted the tile during our basement reno and it has just not held up. I am going to be trying the new Rust-Oleum Rock Solid Interior floor paint and updating the floor with a striped pattern. I am also going to be reorganizing my craft supplies, adding shelving, and doing a fun wall treatment.
Craft Room To-Do List:
Scrape and re-paint floors (Thanks to my sponsor Rust-Oleum for providing paint!)Add additional shelving
Add fun wall treatment on shelving wall
Create better organization for craft supplies
Find table/chairs for new work space area
Here are a few inspiration photos I have been Pinning:
