Craft Room Makeover - (One Room Challenge) Week 6

If you are new here, I am a guest participant in the One Room Challenge hosted by Linda at Calling It Home and this week all of the participants are showing off their finished spaces. I have made it to the finish line of my Craft room/work space makeover.

I want to say a special thanks to Linda and the official ORC media partner, Better Homes and Garden! I have made new friends through this challenge and gained tons of inspiration for future projects, so make sure you head over to the ORC blog and check out the amazing Featured Designers as well as some of the Guest Participants.

We have made it to Week 6 - the reveal of the One Room Challenge! If you missed my other posts you can catch up here:

So here is where I started....It was not horrible, but it also, was not the best use of space.

Here is what it looks like now!

I created a geometric accent wall using removable vinyl shapes that I cut with my Cricut. I organized my crafts into labeled bins and brought my desk from upstairs to have a complete work area, instead of running back and forth. I re-painted the chipped painted tile floor using Rust-Oleum's Rock Solid Home paint, so it should last forever! I also added some decor to the walls with the yarn art I made and a picture I thrifted from Goodwill.

I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking. What do you think?

Now I have a larger area to craft/work in. I have my "Cricut-crafting" table with all my supplies within reach and my desk to journal or lay out projects on for crafting.

Crafty Corner

I used vinyl to create a removable accent wall behind my desk and added a few more accessories. I brought my retro clock from upstairs, moved the colorful rug from the mudroom, and made the wooden pom-pom wall art.

I rearranged and labeled my craft supplies on the shelves and in the rolling cart, which I can move around the work areas.

MCM Inspired Workspace

My desk was upstairs in the corner of our living room/dining room area and it was starting to get cluttered. I love the beautiful hairpin leg desk that my husband made for me a few years ago, and wanted to move it into my new workspace. The vintage turquoise chair also matches my vibe down here, so it was meant to be.

Having my creative spaces merged together makes me happy and I can't wait to get to work on my projects half done (and maybe finish them!) Now I have to figure out what to do with the empty corner upstairs where my desk used to be. What is your favorite part of this space?
